So some of you that happen to stumble here may be wondering why this blog is so empty and desolate. Its the victim of corporate takeover.

Back in the day, and for the purposes of this discussion, that is 2004, there was an eblogger blog here, at this location, detailing the move my wife and I made from Baton Rouge to Seattle to begin our life together.

When Google took over eblogger, and provided for merging/upgrading the blog, that process mangled and destroyed my blog entries. So they are gone, and I have no way to recover them. Thats the consequence of having data exclusively in the hands of others like eblogger or Google.

Thus I'm hesitant of putting more information here.

For now, if and when I get my website back up and running, when the LSU servers in Baton Rouge are functional and stable post hurricane Gustave, Ike and when I've upgraded my archaic old computer at home, I'll probably see about finding a way to blog there, just so I will always have my own personal backup....
